An avid reader of TV Guide in my youth, I’ve been a fan of all things television since I can remember. I’ve been writing about TV professionally for the better part of five years now, but the first show I ever truly reviewed was Dawson’s Creek. I did things a little differently back then though. The Internet did not look the same as it does today back when I was 11 (we were still in the age of Dial-Up modem) so instead of sharing my writings online, I would read my recaps aloud during school recess to all my fans – which was, like, maybe 3 people. But my passion for story – the kind that uses actors and cameras to convey them – has always stuck with me. These days, when I’m not watching or writing about TV, you can find me listening to podcasts or reading reviews about, well, TV.
Damn Fine TV and the Damn Fine TV Podcast are my way of sharing my musings on all things TV with the world. It’s always my aim to break down plot, character, and tone in ways that help readers form a deeper appreciation for all of the visual stories they’re watching. And, sometimes, to help people see why a show just isn’t up to snuff. I hope to make this writing thing a full-time gig one day, and I won’t be able to do so without the support of readers & listeners like you!
So, If you like what you’ve been reading here at Damn Fine TV, please let people know. Word of mouth is the best way to get out the news about this site and a recommendation to friends or family would be greatly appreciated.
Be sure to check out the podcast:
And, please, get in touch! I always want to hear your thoughts on TV. Whether it’s about a particular show or the industry in general, I want to have conversations with you!
